Each of us has a unique pattern of causes and symptoms. The method used is also unique and usually involves a combination of approaches. Nature guides us. How you respond shows us the way. We continually adjust to the present. During each appointment we’ll reassess. Treatment is collaborative and gently nudges us in the right direction so qi can move towards a more balanced flow and healing occurs simply and naturally.
All information is relevant: physical, emotional, psychological, environmental aspects, lifestyle, work, exercise, eating habits, medications, supplements, surgeries, a full health history to the present. Every sign and symptom is interpreted in relation to others. All being connected. Everything shared is always confidential and without judgement.
Acupuncture is subtle. The needle obtains a sensation, Da Qi, on specific acupuncture points. These effect the flow of Qi through the meridians. This is the circulation that needs to be in motion for keeping us healthy, thriving and feeling at our best. Xiao Yao, Free Flow. When this flow is disrupted discomfort, unease, pain and disease can manifest. Our aim throughout is to restore and re-establish this Qi free flow.
As health is progressively restored, treatment can move more towards preventative health care/maintaining health once Xiao Yao, Free Flow is established again. Wobbles will naturally come our way with everyday ups and downs. Learning to be still and listen to our bodies helps us to easily re-establish balance again.
